Superhuman

At first the strongest
power they possessed
was an unbreakable
bond of family. That
mad force of will
has never changed.
But all things escalate,
and now their fists
make dents in steel,
they leap and fall
endless distances
without flinching,
and above all else
they do not die,
they just fade away,
distant engine echos
cutting out softly, then
reigniting in a fugue
of resurrection.
