The big secret is that
all of the puddles
are connected. Or,
more accurately, that
there is only ever one
puddle.

There is substantial
confusion on this point,
likely caused by a fundamental
misunderstanding
of what puddles actually are.

Puddles are a window
into the parallel universe.

The parallel universe
is a place in which
everything is the same
as it is in our universe.
Which is to say,
the parallel universe
is entirely useless.

While communication
between universes
by means of puddle
is generally inadvisable,
it occurs frequently,
since any person
looking into the puddle
will make contact
with the corresponding
double on the other side.

Traversal is much more
extraordinary.
