The Screenwriter Pitches the Motorcycle From Hobbs & Shaw

Listen, how about this:
It’s kind of like a Transformer,
but much much much cooler?
It is of course a robot capable
of performing any maneuver,
but its brilliance is that it always
accomodates, it fits the space
that exists for it. Say you need
to fit underneath a semi: it will
rotate sideways, allowing it
to recline under the truckbed
as you find a handhold and slide
along with it. Say that you
are running, perhaps in the midst
of an exciting chase scene, perhaps
as an abandoned nuclear plant
in Ukraine, and you need it:
the motorcycle will slip through
the smoke and debris, match
your speed, and allow you to hop
onto it in a single smooth motion.
The motorcycle is an ideal, it is
a platonic form. The motorcycle will
not allow your attention to wander.
It’s the motorcycle’s movie and we
are just dreaming every frame of it.
