Upstairs Loft Area (Undefined Use)

Beneath you
the carpet ripples.
Your loft's cold
bars lean out
over the room
below, nothing
but windows
wait behind you.
Calling this
liminal is cliche
—room that isn't
room, center
of your house
and packed
with nothing.
You can't say
whether this
will be a nothing
place or beating
heart of all this
new homescape.
