Back to NaPoWriMo 2024: Cocktails
Tattletale
To tell the truth
the blood moon
is still burning off
every part of me.
I dream in tongues
I’ve never heard,
imagine the spice
of food from places
unknown to me
still, after all this
perpetual motion.
The minutes click
like Newton’s cradle,
made frictionless
and inhospitable.
I don’t know how
much confession
is enough.
